School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Williamsburg, Virginia

You will work 1:1 with a medically fragile student, ensuring their well-being throughout the school day—including bus transportation to and from school.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of Virginia
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting preferred
• Proven ability to manage care for medically fragile students, including trach and ventilator support
• Confidence working autonomously outside the main school nurse’s supervision
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, educators, and medical professionals
• Willingness and ability to accompany the student on the school bus daily

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to one high school student with complex medical needs
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and provide trach and ventilator management
• Remain attentive and responsive to changes in the student’s condition throughout the school day
• Foster a safe, nurturing environment and recognize changes requiring medical intervention
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, interventions, and communication with stakeholders
• Adhere to all school health policies and procedures while working independently
