This contract role is ideal for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses who are skilled in tracheostomy and ventilator care and are comfortable working independently. The position includes accompanying the student to and from school on the bus and delivering one-on-one care throughout the school day.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current license as an RN or LPN/LVN
• Demonstrated experience with trach and vent care
• Familiarity with school-based nursing preferred
• Able to operate autonomously apart from the main school nurse
• Commitment to student safety, comfort, and privacy
• Reliable, professional, and compassionate approach to caregiving

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized nursing care for a high school student during school hours
• Ride the school bus with the student, ensuring safety and addressing any health needs during transit
• Operate and monitor trach and ventilator equipment as required
