As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and healthy learning environment while providing direct nursing services to students throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff as needed
• Assess and manage student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies
• Monitor and maintain student health records and documentation
• Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and healthcare providers
• Support students with chronic health conditions and special medical needs
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate intervention
• Promote health education and preventative care practices within the school setting

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous pediatric, school-based, or community health experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
