Ideal Background and Skills:

• Current RN license in Minnesota
• Previous nursing experience in a school or pediatric environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, and students
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Ability to assess medical situations and respond calmly and efficiently
• Organization and record-keeping skills to maintain student health files and manage medication

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and first aid according to school policy
• Monitor and respond to students’ health needs throughout the school day
• Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families, providing education as needed
• Maintain up-to-date health records and immunization information
• Coordinate care with other medical professionals and communicate with families about health-related concerns
• Help the school implement health protocols and promote a safe environment for all
