A permanent hire opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in a K-12 school setting located in Wolcott, CT. This contract position is designed for the current school year (CSY) and focuses on supporting the health and well-being of students across all grade levels.
Responsibilities:
- Perform health assessments and screenings to monitor student well-being
- Manage acute and chronic health conditions in collaboration with school staff and families
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Promote health education initiatives within the school community
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license
- Experience working in school nursing or pediatric health preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
- Knowledge of state and local health regulations applicable to schools
