Registered Nurse School Setting - Woodland Park, CO

Step into a dynamic school environment supporting K–12 students as a contract-to-hire Registered Nurse. In this independent role, you will serve as the primary healthcare professional on campus, managing a variety of daily health matters for students and collaborating with school staff to foster a healthy learning atmosphere. Your nursing expertise will play a key role in supporting student wellness, safety, and academic success.

The position begins October 5th and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, roughly 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., for a total of 40 hours each week. The ideal candidate will bring experience and confidence in delivering school-based nursing care and thrive while working autonomously.

Qualifications:

• Current and active RN license.
• At least one year of experience, preferably in school-based or pediatric settings.
• Ability to work confidently and autonomously within an educational environment.
• Excellent assessment, triage, and communication skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff.
• Up-to-date certifications in CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily health care and assessment for students and staff.
• Address acute injuries, illnesses, and manage chronic health concerns.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate health records in line with privacy requirements.
• Educate students and staff on health topics and promote a culture of wellness.
• Monitor and respond to potential health emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with parents and healthcare providers as needed.
