Key Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or adolescent care setting preferred
- Proficient in basic first aid and emergency response procedures
- Comfortable administering medications and maintaining accurate health records
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Compassionate, organized, and able to work independently
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and care for students presenting with illness or injury in the school health room
- Administer medications as prescribed and keep accurate, confidential documentation
- Serve as the primary healthcare resource to students, working with faculty and parents as needed
- Promote healthy environments and practices throughout the school
- Respond to medical emergencies and communicate appropriately with caregivers and emergency personnel
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming nurse’s office conducive to student care
