School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Make a meaningful impact working as a dedicated school nurse at a dynamic secondary campus near Woonsocket, RI. This contract position is available for the remainder of the school year, concluding June 17th. You'll take charge of a well-equipped Health Room, providing essential care and support to students throughout the school day.

Your training and expertise as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified School Nurse (CSN) will be fully utilized as you respond to student needs with professionalism, warmth, and a commitment to their overall well-being. Ideal candidates possess:

• Current RN or CSN license in Rhode Island
• Previous experience working in a school or child-centered clinical setting preferred
• Confidence in independently operating within a nurse’s office

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
• Knowledge of medication administration and standard nursing procedures

Core responsibilities include:

• Assessing and supporting students who come to the Health Room with illness or minor injuries
• Administering prescription and over-the-counter medications according to guidelines
• Maintaining accurate and confidential health records
• Communicating concerns or health updates to families and school staff as appropriate
• Monitoring and managing common chronic conditions in the school environment
• Upholding protocols for infection control and first aid responses
