A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for a skilled RN with school-based experience to support a high school student with Diabetes Insipidus. This part-time, onsite role is located near Worcester, MA and involves working Fridays only, aligning your expertise with a meaningful 1:1 caseload.
Your commitment will start August 26th and continue through June 15th, with work hours from 8:30am to 3pm. As the student attends Perkins School for the Blind, you'll connect onsite to provide care exclusively on Fridays, as coverage is already in place for the remainder of the week.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN certification/licensure required
- Strong background in school nursing
- Demonstrated experience working in educational settings
- Reliable transportation to the site
- Ability to commit to the provided schedule without alteration
Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure student maintains correct fluid intake
- Assist the student to and from restrooms; ambulation support is required, though toileting is independent
- Administer a noon dose of medication and observe for signs of sodium imbalance
- Serve as a supportive clinical presence throughout the school day
- Communicate changes in student condition per protocol
