School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Worcester, Massachusetts

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a General School Nurse near Worcester, MA, working with a vibrant PreK-3rd grade student population of 540 children. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through December 1, 2026, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week (8:15am–3:15pm).

Utilize your clinical expertise in a school environment, supporting both students and staff. Your skillset will be crucial in providing specialized care such as tube feeding, catheterization, and diabetic management for young learners, ensuring their health and well-being throughout the school day.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Experience in pediatric care or previous school nursing work preferred
• Proficiency in tube feeding, catheters, and diabetic care is essential
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer daily care and first aid for students and staff
• Perform medical procedures such as tube feeding and catheterization as needed
• Manage diabetic health plans for students, including monitoring and documentation
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Serve as a resource for health education and wellness within the school community
