School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Worcester, Massachusetts

Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the educational journey of a medically complex student as a skilled Registered Nurse. This unique role involves providing professional care during morning and afternoon van transportation, ensuring safe transit to and from school. This position begins with approximately 5 hours per week, providing flexibility and room to balance other commitments. As needs are assessed and more information becomes available, this assignment has strong potential to evolve into additional or even full-time hours within the coming month.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong assessment skills and comfort supporting medically complex children
• Ability to problem-solve and remain calm in dynamic situations
• Compassionate, communicative, and attentive to detail
• Valid CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Ride with the student in a van during morning and afternoon school transportation
• Monitor the student closely and manage their specific medical needs during transit
• Administer medications or interventions as prescribed
• Communicate with school staff and parents regarding any concerns or updates
• Ensure van environment is safe, supportive, and responsive to the student's needs
• Maintain accurate documentation related to care provided
