School Registered Nurse (RN) in Ypsilanti, MI

Looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse interested in making a positive impact in a dynamic educational environment. This opportunity, located near Ypsilanti, MI, offers a contract position with a schedule of 25 to 30 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the current school year.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with the district RN to deliver essential health services throughout the district. Your work will not only address immediate student health needs but also support long-term wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care for students, including the management of emergency health situations within the school setting.
• Assist in the development and distribution of individualized student health plans, ensuring that each plan meets students' unique medical requirements.
• Train faculty and staff on the implementation of student health plans, ensuring a safe and responsive environment for all.
• Deliver engaging staff training sessions on critical topics such as CPR, First Aid, and seizure management.
• Maintain clear and accurate health records in compliance with district and regulatory standards.
• Support health education and awareness initiatives to promote student and staff well-being.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
• Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric nursing is highly desired.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Experience with developing health plans and delivering training to groups is a plus.
