Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential preferred
  • Minimum of several years’ experience as an RN in a school setting required
  • Strong assessment, triage, and care coordination skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with a diverse student population
  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative mindset for working with educators, students, parents, and administration
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information discreetly

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily health services and manage care for students with acute or chronic health needs
  • Conduct health screenings, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and community health providers
  • Respond to health emergencies and manage first aid situations effectively
  • Educate students and staff on wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention
  • Support individualized health plans and federal/state compliance requirements
