Key Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or Special Education Teacher certification
- School-based experience preferred, especially in serving students with special healthcare needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to deliver compassionate care and adapt to dynamic school environments
- Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and student health plans is highly desirable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and routine medical procedures for students
- Support students with special education needs, collaborating to implement IEPs and health plans
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Serve as a resource for staff on health and wellness initiatives
- Monitor and respond to medical emergencies and assist with crisis intervention as needed
- Advocate for safe and inclusive learning environments
