Step into a vital role supporting students’ growth by providing psychological services across a diverse PreK-12 caseload throughout a dynamic school district. As a contract school psychologist, you will work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, using your expertise to positively affect student outcomes. This position is full-time, running from August 4, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and is fully onsite at various district campuses.

Qualifications:

  • Current, active NCDPI Psychologist License (must be submitted with application)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ECATS data system
  • Proven experience in K-12 school settings, with strong consultation and crisis response skills
  • Educational background or experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations
  • Ability to provide effective parent conferences, staff training, and mental health support

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling, as well as targeted crisis intervention services
  • Assess and address students’ mental health and learning needs
  • Conduct and interpret psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of disabilities
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success
  • Participate actively on multi-disciplinary district teams
  • Hold conferences with parents to discuss student progress and concerns
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions for educational staff
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisor
