Step into a vital role supporting students’ growth by providing psychological services across a diverse PreK-12 caseload throughout a dynamic school district. As a contract school psychologist, you will work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, using your expertise to positively affect student outcomes. This position is full-time, running from August 4, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and is fully onsite at various district campuses.
Qualifications:
- Current, active NCDPI Psychologist License (must be submitted with application)
- Demonstrated proficiency with ECATS data system
- Proven experience in K-12 school settings, with strong consultation and crisis response skills
- Educational background or experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations
- Ability to provide effective parent conferences, staff training, and mental health support
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling, as well as targeted crisis intervention services
- Assess and address students’ mental health and learning needs
- Conduct and interpret psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of disabilities
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success
- Participate actively on multi-disciplinary district teams
- Hold conferences with parents to discuss student progress and concerns
- Develop and facilitate training sessions for educational staff
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisor
