A rewarding contract opportunity awaits a skilled School Psychologist interested in supporting a vibrant school community near Albuquerque, NM. Starting June 1, 2026, this role covers Extended School Year (ESY) counseling services during the month of June, followed by a position throughout the regular 2026–2027 school year.

In this position, you'll play a critical part in helping students reach their potential, providing both individual counseling and vital evaluations in collaboration with a dedicated educational team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active psychologist license
  • Background in conducting psychoeducational assessments for Special Education eligibility and Gifted and Talented determination
  • Knowledge of IEP development, special education processes, and compliance practices
  • Familiarity with or willingness to collaborate in a Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) setting
  • Strong organizational skills to balance documentation and evaluation deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver counseling services to students during ESY and during the regular school year
  • Complete timely psychoeducational evaluations and thorough documentation to support student learning plans
  • Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering insight and support
  • Collaborate with school staff to provide general psychological and consultative assistance
  • Maintain accurate service logs and necessary records for compliance

The ESY component in June 2026 requires weekly onsite presence for approximately four hours. For the following academic year (August 2026 – June 2027), the role expands to 2–3 days per week at roughly six hours each day, offering a flexible structure ideal for professionals seeking meaningful impact while managing a balanced schedule.
