Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ success as a skilled School Psychologist in a dynamic educational environment near Albuquerque, NM. This full-time contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 18, 2026, and continuing through May 28, 2027. You’ll play a key part in shaping educational journeys by conducting comprehensive evaluations for special education eligibility—a vital process ensuring each learner’s unique needs are met.
Your workdays will align with school hours: 7:50 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 7:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. on Wednesdays. You’ll maintain a consistent schedule with 35-36 hours weekly, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the school's supportive community.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a Master’s Degree, Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.), or Doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited program (required)
- Demonstrated experience in school-based psychological evaluations and special education eligibility assessments
- Familiarity with standardized testing protocols, report writing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage compassionately and professionally with students, educators, and families
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for special education eligibility
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, administrators, and families to interpret evaluation results and make data-driven recommendations
- Document findings, prepare evaluation reports, and participate in eligibility determination meetings
- Help ensure compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
