School Psychologist - Alcalde, New Mexico

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current licensure or certification as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
• Strong background supporting elementary-aged students in a school setting
• Familiarity with pre-referral processes and conducting comprehensive evaluations
• Confident communication and consultation skills for working with staff, students, and families
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to varied environments across multiple sites

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and participate in pre-referral and evaluative activities
• Develop comprehensive behavior plans tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to consult on managing behaviors in classrooms and common areas
• Engage in problem-solving initiatives and offer staff training as needed
• Support a welcoming and positive school climate, advocating for student well-being
• Maintain thorough documentation and case notes in compliance with district requirements
