School Psychologist in Alexandria, IN

Make a meaningful impact by providing psychological services to K-12 students as a School Psychologist on a contract basis for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity begins August 3, 2026, and continues through June 7, 2027. Two positions are available, both offering a consistent 35-hour work week. Choose between two schedules: 8:50 am – 3:30 pm or 7:30 am – 2:20 pm, to best fit your personal preferences. Located near Alexandria, IN, this role supports a diverse student population with caseload size varying according to the district’s needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state license or certification as a School Psychologist.
• Experience working with students in a school-based or similar setting, preferably K–12.
• Strong assessment, counseling, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of IEP development, special education processes, and educational testing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing caseload requirements and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students across K-12.
• Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student learning and mental health.
• Develop and contribute to IEPs, attend eligibility meetings, and assist in creating intervention plans.
• Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school, district, and state requirements.
• Engage in preventative and responsive services, promoting a healthy school environment.
