Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Arts, Science, or Education
• Certification as a School Psychologist (willing to consider candidates in the process of obtaining this)
• Minimum of three years’ experience working with students of varying ages
• Demonstrated strengths in diagnostic, evaluative, and counseling skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely psychological evaluations for students referred by parents or administrators
• Meet with families to review assessment results, offering clear and compassionate guidance
• Observe students in classrooms and provide actionable input to staff
• Assess students for Kindergarten readiness and other benchmarks
• Serve as a district resource for staff regarding student diagnoses and learning facilitation strategies
• Participate on CSE, CPSE, and 504 committees as needed
• Review external psycho-educational evaluations to support comprehensive student profiles
• Provide short-term individual or small group counseling
• Respond to student emergencies and support crisis intervention efforts
• Maintain professional confidentiality and foster positive relationships district-wide
• Carry out additional assignments as directed by the Director of Special Education
