South Carolina School Psychologist | Per-Assessment Opportunity

Looking for a flexible way to put your evaluation expertise to work? Soliant is partnering with a South Carolina school district to hire licensed School Psychologists for a per-assessment contract opportunity. This role is ideal for experienced evaluators who enjoy working independently while collaborating with school teams to support student eligibility and special education services.

You'll be responsible for completing high-quality psychological evaluations from start to finish, including assessment planning, testing, report writing, and participation in eligibility meetings. Compensation is provided on a per-completed evaluation basis, allowing you to maintain a flexible schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Complete initial evaluations and triennial reevaluations for students with a variety of suspected disabilities
  • Conduct assessments in areas including:
    • Cognitive and psychoeducational functioning
    • Social-emotional and behavioral needs
    • Adaptive behavior
    • Executive functioning and attention
    • Autism-related evaluations, when assigned
    • Additional areas of suspected disability as appropriate
  • Review existing educational records, classroom performance, observations, and parent input to determine appropriate testing needs
  • Select and administer assessment instruments while documenting the rationale for evaluation methods
  • Prepare comprehensive psychological reports within 7 days of completing assessments
  • Complete all evaluations within 30 calendar days of receiving signed parental consent
  • Present findings during eligibility meetings, either in person or virtually
  • Coordinate scheduling and testing logistics with Special Education staff and school personnel
  • Supply all assessment materials necessary to complete assigned evaluations
  • Adhere to district procedures regarding confidentiality, visitor protocols, and student supervision
  • Verify that written parental consent has been obtained prior to beginning any direct assessment

Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (Level I, II, or III)
  • Master's, Ed.S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Previous experience conducting school-based evaluations preferred
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently while meeting established timelines
