Desired Skills & Experience:
- Licensure or eligibility as a school psychologist in the state
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong ability to perform psychological assessments, interpret results, and communicate findings to diverse audiences
- Expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or behavior intervention plans
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate, ethical, and able to handle sensitive situations with discretion
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments of students’ cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents on strategies for student support and intervention
- Provide crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and recommendations for classroom modifications
- Develop and participate in training programs for staff, helping build capacity for social-emotional support across the school
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Advocate for student success, supporting positive school climates and inclusive practices
