Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master’s or specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field required
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong assessment skills for cognitive, emotional, and behavioral evaluations
- Ability to interpret data and create actionable intervention strategies
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
- Capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify student strengths and needs
- Delivering individualized and group counseling services to support student mental health and academic growth
- Consulting with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
- Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and assisting in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Implementing behavior management techniques and crisis intervention support as needed
- Providing professional development and resources for school staff related to mental health and learning differences
- Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
