Make a real impact in the lives of young learners as a contract School Psychologist, supporting both early childhood and specialized elementary programs for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time opportunity is split between working 3.5 days per week at an Early Childhood Center (serving preschool and kindergarten students) and 1.5 days per week supporting a highly specialized program for elementary students (grades K-5) with autism and developmental disabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to provide vital psychological services, foster positive learning environments, and contribute to student success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with school psychologist endorsement
- Experience with early childhood populations and/or students with autism/developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong assessment and counseling skills, with the ability to consult with multidisciplinary teams
- Capacity to adapt services and interventions for a diverse student population
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and write comprehensive reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, assisting with eligibility determination and service planning
- Deliver direct and consultative psychological services to students
- Provide behavioral and academic interventions tailored to student needs
- Engage families and staff in developing effective support strategies
- Promote positive behavior, social-emotional growth, and inclusive educational environments
- Contribute to program development and staff training as needed
