Step into a rewarding role supporting students' educational journeys as a contract School Psychologist. This full-time opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, to June 11, 2027, and spans elementary, middle, and high school caseloads. The focus is on conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, functional behavioral assessments, and some initial evaluations—with specific caseload assignments tailored to your experience and passion.

Your expertise will make a difference in the following ways:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active School Psychologist license in Illinois required.
  • Previous experience working in school settings (elementary, middle, and/or high school) preferred.
  • Strong background in special education law and assessment practices, particularly for early childhood or K-4 evaluations.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse families, staff, and partners.
  • Ability to travel between multiple early childhood locations if assigned to preschool caseload.
  • Commitment to collaborative problem-solving and supporting the IEP process.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and functional behavioral assessments.
  • Lead or participate in eligibility and IEP meetings.
  • For early childhood roles: screen and evaluate 3-5-year-olds, collaborate with preschool partners, and guide families new to special education.
  • For K-4: facilitate MTSS data meetings, support classroom teams, and assist with initial and ongoing IEPs.
  • Maintain clear, compassionate communication with school staff and families throughout.
