This role runs full-time from August 26, 2026, to June 11, 2027, Monday through Friday, across various school settings. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist license in the State of Illinois required
  • Experience working in school settings across early childhood through high school strongly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of special education law and best practices, especially for early childhood and K-4 evaluations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working closely with families and educational teams
  • Familiarity with MTSS, functional behavioral assessments, and eligibility meetings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct re-evaluation reviews, eligibility and initial assessment meetings, and functional behavioral assessments for students
  • For the early childhood role (0.6 FTE, three days per week): Screen and evaluate young children transitioning from early intervention, coordinate with multiple preschools, and support families new to special education processes
  • For the K-4 role (1.0 FTE, five days per week): Carry out student evaluations, facilitate MTSS data meetings, support IEP processes, and collaborate on problem-solving with educational teams
  • Travel as needed among assigned schools within the district
  • Participate and collaborate in IEP meetings, clearly communicating findings and recommendations to staff and families
