Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from early childhood through high school across nearby schools. These full-time positions span the academic year (August 26, 2026 – June 11, 2027), Monday through Friday, and focus on delivering school psychology services to diverse caseloads.

Your expertise will make a difference through conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, functional behavioral assessments, and some initial evaluations. Opportunities are available both in early childhood (0.6 FTE, 3 days per week, traveling between three community preschools, focused on ages 3–5) and elementary grades K–4 (1.0 FTE, 5 days per week). Each role involves active participation in IEP meetings, direct communication with families often new to special education processes, and supporting general and special education teams.

Qualifications:

  • Current license as a School Psychologist in Illinois is required
  • Experience working in school settings with elementary, middle, and high school populations
  • Strong communication skills to work with families, educational staff, and school partners
  • Knowledge of special education law, best practices in evaluation, and IEP facilitation
  • Ability to engage in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to MTSS and problem-solving meetings
  • For early childhood positions, prior work with preschool-aged children and Early Intervention transitions is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations (initial and re-evaluations)
  • Lead and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
  • Facilitate problem-solving and data team meetings for MTSS (K-4 role)
  • Serve as a resource for special education law and procedures
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with families and staff
  • Frequent travel between school sites (early childhood role)
