Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students’ growth and social-emotional well-being in a welcoming school environment near Arlington Heights, IL. We’re seeking an experienced School Psychologist to embark on a role beginning August 11th, 2026, and running through at least May 26th, 2027 (with the possibility of extension due to emergency days). You’ll work a consistent 40-hour week, partnering with students from early childhood through 4th grade in an elementary school setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or eligibility for school psychologist licensure
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, EC–4th grade, preferred
- Strong skills in assessments, counseling, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility, adaptability, and excellent communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for students, focusing on academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop effective intervention and support strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional recommendations and data-driven insights
- Deliver counseling services (individual or group), crisis intervention, and consultative support as needed
- Maintain accurate, compliant records and documentation
- Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere that encourages student growth and resilience
