Step into a vital role making a real difference for students in the Arlington Heights and Vernon Hills area as a School Psychologist for the 2026/27 academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers a diverse caseload and the chance to positively impact both early learners and students in need of comprehensive evaluations.

In this position, your time will be thoughtfully divided. You’ll engage in early childhood, play-based assessments, supporting young children as they develop foundational skills. The remaining portion of your responsibility is dedicated to conducting evaluations at a nearby district site, collaborating with educators and families to develop effective strategies for student success. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary teams, providing specialized insights to help shape learning environments where every child can thrive.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid and current state licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience in both early childhood assessment and K-12 psychoeducational evaluations is preferred
  • Skilled in conducting play-based assessments and administering standardized psychological tests
  • Ability to communicate clearly with families, teachers, and school teams
  • Commitment to cultural competence and supporting diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct play-based and standardized assessments for early childhood students
  • Carry out psychoeducational evaluations for K-12 students as assigned
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Provide consultation to teachers and families regarding student needs
  • Maintain thorough records and contribute to IEP meetings
