This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work as a School Psychologist within a welcoming elementary school environment for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is based at John Mills Elementary, focusing on PreK–5 students, with working hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current School Psychologist certification
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged children, especially PreK–5
- Skilled in conducting comprehensive initial and re-evaluations for students, particularly those transitioning from early intervention programs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support personnel
- Strong knowledge of crisis response protocols and a compassionate approach to student support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Carrying out initial and re-evaluation assessments for students from early intervention through 5th grade, using a variety of assessment tools and best practices
- Serving as a key member of the crisis response team, offering immediate and ongoing support to students and staff as needed
- Consulting with teachers and parents to address academic, behavioral, and mental health needs
- Contributing to the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Participating in problem-solving meetings and offering recommendations to foster student success
