Step into a meaningful role supporting elementary students through a maternity leave coverage as a School Psychologist. This contract position serves two conveniently located schools (Aspen Elementary and a nearby Early Learning center, both within walking distance) and provides vital evaluation and support services for students from preschool through fifth grade. The assignment is scheduled between early January and late March, with some flexibility depending on the exact leave dates and transition needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations for elementary-aged students (preschool-5th grade)
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable, though not required
- Ability to work in-person is preferred (some flexibility possible for hybrid arrangements)
- Strong collaboration skills to work with school staff, families, and students
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and evaluations for students PK-5, as assigned
- Interpret results and share findings with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide consultation and recommendations to educators and families
- Support the special education process with appropriate documentation
- Participate in transition meetings and IEP development, as needed
- Manage time efficiently across two school sites within close proximity
- Overlap with the current School Psychologist for up to two days during transition, if possible
