School Psychologist - Arlington Heights, IL

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
• Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
• Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), and special education evaluation processes
• Excellent communication, assessment, and counseling skills
• Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in multidisciplinary teams
• Prior experience in a school setting is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create and implement student support strategies
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and counseling to individuals and groups
• Assist in crisis intervention and contribute to the development of school-wide mental health initiatives
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for academic and behavioral supports
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district, state, and professional standards
