Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible School Psychologist licensure in Virginia
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Expertise in conducting evaluations, developing intervention plans, and facilitating IEP/504 meetings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored to diverse student and family needs
- Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and positive behavior interventions
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Administering assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Counseling students individually or in groups to support academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Consulting with educators, families, and administrators to recommend interventions and strategies for student success
- Participating actively in multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support services
- Maintaining accurate, confidential records and staying up-to-date with required documentation
