Selected candidates will offer vital direct services, from counseling and assessments to crisis intervention in collaboration with special education teams and general education staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
- Previous school-based experience required
- Proven expertise in conducting cognitive, behavioral, and social/emotional assessments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities for collaboration across disciplines
- Adept at crisis management and maintaining a calm, effective presence
- Ability to work efficiently with diverse students, families, and staff
- Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple caseloads and priorities
- Technological proficiency for documentation and virtual collaboration
- Completion of district-required background check and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling as outlined in IEPs
- Develop and implement interventions addressing academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs
- Provide mental health support in classrooms, including crisis response, risk assessments, and safety planning
- Conduct and interpret cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive skill assessments
- Complete documentation: evaluation reports, service logs, and progress monitoring
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and outside agencies
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development
- Offer psychoeducation, consultative services, and connect students with community resources
