School Psychologist - Athens, Alabama

Seeking an experienced School Psychologist to provide valuable support for students and staff in a dynamic school-based environment near Athens, AL. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with a committed educational team to ensure students' social, emotional, and academic well-being.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state
• Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
• Strong understanding of psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention strategies
• Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to a dynamic schedule

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students’ needs
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding strategies to support students’ learning and behavior
• Deliver individual and group counseling for students as needed
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education and intervention plans
• Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and special education eligibility processes
• Facilitate crisis intervention and provide consultative services during emergencies
• Ensure all documentation, reports, and records meet district, state, and federal guidelines
