School Psychologist in Athens, GA

Key Experience and Qualifications:

• Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
• Valid certification or license as required by the state board
• Previous experience as a School Psychologist in educational settings preferred
• Proficient in conducting ERs, IEP meetings, evaluations, and counseling
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage caseload effectively
• Familiarity with hybrid and remote service delivery platforms

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students
• Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, supporting students’ emotional, behavioral, and social needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility and develop interventions
• Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals to address learning or behavioral issues
• Monitor and document student progress, preparing necessary reports and records
• Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines in all services
