Key Qualifications:
- Active state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Experience with psychological assessments, IEP development, and data-driven intervention planning
- Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and special education procedures
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral strengths and needs
- Support the creation and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and monitor interventions and accommodations
- Provide consultation and training to teachers, staff, and parents on effective strategies for student support and learning
- Assist in crisis response and intervention, contributing to a safe and supportive school climate
- Foster positive relationships with students to promote their overall well-being
