Desired Background & Qualifications:

  • Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
  • Active Colorado CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
  • Previous experience working in school settings is required
  • Strong student assessment, data collection, and reporting skills
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and collaborative teamwork abilities
  • Critical thinking, calm demeanor in crisis, and efficient multitasking
  • Proficient in current computer technology and relevant education software
  • Must successfully complete district credentialing (background check and fingerprints)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct counseling services to special education students, both individually and in groups, based on IEP goals
  • Design and implement interventions for academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs
  • Participate in crisis management and risk assessments, supporting students and teams during emergencies
  • Conduct cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive skills assessments; interpret results and develop reports
  • Collaborate with families, staff, and outside providers to support student success at home and school
  • Attend IEP, MTSS, behavioral health, and staff meetings; contribute to professional development initiatives
  • Provide consultation and psychoeducation for staff, students, and families; assist with community resource coordination
