Step into a vital school-based role supporting the mental health and well-being of students as a full-time school psychologist in the greater Aurora, CO area. This contract opportunity offers the unique chance to help students across the K-12 spectrum, with immediate openings for three School Psychologists—two for the Evaluation Team (based at North Star Elementary) and one high school opportunity. All positions are fully on-site, engaging directly with students, staff, and families in an in-person setting.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Service License (SSL) with School Psychologist Endorsement (Ages 0-21)
- Experience working with special education populations, especially students with mild to moderate needs, Affective Needs, or Significant Support Needs
- Familiarity with IEP processes and mental health service delivery in a school context
- Strong evaluation skills, including experience conducting Child Find evaluations (psychologist only; bilingual preferred for one team)
- Ability to serve high school students (HS Psych/Social Worker) and/or elementary settings through evaluation and ongoing services
- Bilingual ability is highly desirable for district-level Child Find evaluation team roles
- Commitment to fully in-person work—no remote or hybrid options available
In this role, responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and re-evaluations (including Child Find)
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide mental health services as documented in IEPs
- Supporting caseloads at assigned sites and participating in problem-solving with staff and families
- Serving as a resource on mental health and crisis interventions for students
