Make a positive impact supporting students from early childhood through eighth grade as a contract school psychologist in a collaborative educational setting near Aurora, IL. Two unique full-time opportunities are available for the 2026-2027 school year. Both positions involve cross-categorical caseloads and offer the chance to work with diverse student populations in cooperative environments.
These roles will engage you with school communities in different districts—one based in the Shorewood area and the other serving multiple sites in and around Joliet. Candidates should be flexible regarding commute, as placement may require travel between districts.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with varying needs across early childhood to middle school (grades EC-8)
- Proficiency in conducting cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
- Collaborative approach to working within multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and write evaluation reports
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective interventions
- Support IEP development, eligibility determinations, and progress monitoring
- Provide crisis intervention, consultation, and counseling to students as needed
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Travel between district sites as required by assignment
