Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students at a welcoming district near Aurora, IL! This contract opportunity for a School Psychologist begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 14, 2027. You'll work onsite from 7:30AM–3:00PM, focusing your expertise on a caseload of approximately 30 high schoolers, helping them navigate academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
In this role, you'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, applying your skills to promote positive student outcomes. Your insights will be critical in guiding interventions, performing assessments, and supporting student well-being throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold current and active School Psychologist licensure in Illinois
- Experience working in a school environment, especially with high school populations, is preferred
- Strong assessment and counseling skills to address diverse student needs
- Ability to participate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Skilled in written/oral communication for meetings, reports, and parental engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and present findings to inform IEP goals, interventions, and student supports
- Provide direct counseling and consultation for high school students on your caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop strategies promoting academic and emotional success
- Facilitate crisis intervention as needed, maintaining a safe and supportive school environment
- Document services, progress, and evaluations per district and regulatory standards
