This full-time, on-site contract position invites a dedicated School Psychologist to contribute expertise at a school located near Aurora, IL. Starting August 17, 2026, and concluding May 27, 2027, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Flexibility regarding hybrid work is currently under discussion.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (Illinois PEL with School Psychology endorsement or eligibility)
- Experience providing psychological services in school settings
- Strong understanding of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of interdisciplinary teams
- Skilled in crisis intervention, consultation, and effective communication with students, parents, and staff
- Efficient in documenting evaluations, writing reports, and managing paperwork
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a vital member of the Crisis Intervention Team to address urgent student needs
- Participate actively in consultative processes with other staff and stakeholders
- Coordinate and complete all paperwork for initial and triennial student evaluations
- Organize, conduct, and document comprehensive assessments and evaluations
- Prepare clear, informative psychological reports to support IEP development
- Contribute expertise in IEP, building-level, and special education meetings
- Support ongoing intervention planning and make data-informed recommendations
