School Psychologist in Aurora, IL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist on a part-time schedule (three days per week). This role is essential in providing high-quality psychological services and interventions, working closely with students, staff, and families to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

In this role, you will work with a manageable elementary caseload, conducting thorough evaluations and observations to support student success. Your expertise will also contribute to the school’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), ensuring effective intervention strategies are in place for learners who need them most. Participation in team meetings and close collaboration with educators, administrators, and parents will be a vital part of your daily contributions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Psychologist certification required
• Experience working in elementary school settings preferred
• Strong skills in conducting psychoeducational assessments and observations
• Familiarity with the MTSS framework and evidence-based intervention practices
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

• Administer and interpret psychological and academic assessments for elementary students
• Conduct classroom observations and contribute to behavior intervention plans
• Actively participate in team meetings, ARDs, and the MTSS process
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being
• Provide recommendations to guide instructional and behavioral strategies
