Step into a contract opportunity supporting students and staff as a full-time School Psychologist within a thriving educational environment near Austin, TX. In this role, you’ll work primarily at a 9th grade center while collaborating with elementary schools alongside a skilled diagnostician. You’ll play a vital part in evaluations and provide professional input in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings. This position is evaluation-focused and does not include counseling responsibilities, allowing you to specialize in assessment and program development.
Desired Expertise & Skills:
- Valid School Psychologist credentials in Texas
- Experience working with middle and/or high school populations preferred
- Proficient in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting data
- Knowledge of ARD processes and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborative mindset for effective teamwork with diagnosticians and special education staff
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations in partnership with the diagnostician, especially at the elementary level
- Review and interpret evaluation data for educational planning and ARD meetings
- Participate in ARDs to provide expertise in psychological assessment, eligibility, and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with regulations
- Liaise with educational staff to support appropriate student programming
- Effectively manage caseload and schedule for full-time coverage
