School Psychologist in Austin, TX

Make a meaningful impact in education as a contract School Psychologist, serving students in a vibrant community near Austin, TX. This full-time, new school year opportunity offers the ideal mix of on-site engagement and modern flexibility, with one approved virtual workday per week. While you’ll primarily collaborate with a 9th grade center, responsibilities may also extend to elementary and middle schools, providing a diverse and rewarding professional experience.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with students in diverse educational settings
• Proficiency in counseling, conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Expertise supporting students with Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Dyslexia
• Ability to conduct cognitive and achievement testing for SLD/Dyslexia evaluations
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Adaptable to working with various age groups, from elementary to high school

What you’ll do:

• Deliver social, emotional, and academic counseling services
• Conduct thorough assessments, including FBA/BIPs and cognitive/achievement evaluations
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans
• Provide consultation and recommendations to support student learning and behavioral success
• Lead or participate in interventions for students identified with SLD, AU, ED, OHI, and Dyslexia
• Serve both in-person (four days per week) and virtually (one day per week)
