School Psychologist - Austin, TX

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology or a related field
• Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and parents
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• A compassionate, student-centered approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for students
• Develop recommendations to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Provide individual and group counseling to students as appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective support plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team decisions
• Lead or support the implementation of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS)
• Maintain accurate and confidential records according to school policies and legal guidelines
