This full-time position runs from early August 2026 through late May 2027, serving a dynamic group of approximately 500 students in grades 6 through 8.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in the state, or eligibility to obtain
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Experience in assessment, counseling, and intervention with middle school-aged youth
- Familiarity with IEP processes, educational testing, and the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Compassionate and student-centered approach to problem-solving
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators on intervention strategies and educational planning
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise to multi-disciplinary teams
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students as needed
- Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth through evidence-based practices
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to families and school personnel
