Step into a dynamic educational environment serving K-8 students and make a real impact as a contract School Psychologist. This full-time opportunity is available immediately through the end of the school year. You’ll work on-site five days a week, supporting a caseload of approximately 670 students and collaborating closely with a dedicated team of educators and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Deliver individual and group counseling to support students' mental health and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student behavioral and academic needs.
- Design and implement targeted interventions for students with emotional or behavioral concerns.
- Actively contribute to IEP meetings, supporting individualized goal setting for student success.
- Provide timely crisis intervention and support during periods of student distress.
- Offer education and guidance to staff and families on mental health resources and topics.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in maintaining assessment records and intervention documentation.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned to best support student needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid South Carolina School Psychologist certification.
- Previous experience with K-8 students in a school environment highly desirable.
- Expertise in psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention planning.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of the mental health challenges facing children and adolescents.
