School Psychologist - Barre, Vermont

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

• Possess (or be eligible for) all state-mandated credentials for a School Psychologist
• Demonstrated experience providing psychological services within a school setting
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff
• Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs, supporting eligibility for special education services
• Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop and implement effective interventions and supports
• Provide individual and group counseling for students addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Participate in student support team and IEP meetings, providing insight and guidance
• Consult with families and school staff to ensure coordinated services for students
• Maintain detailed and confidential records consistent with school and legal guidelines
