Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify student needs and generate timely, detailed reports.
• Provide consultation, information, and referral services to students and families, connecting them with community resources as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, principals, and district staff to discuss assessment results, recommend interventions, and develop individualized educational plans.
• Interpret test data and participate in planning effective, compliant programs based on assessment findings and special education criteria.
• Maintain clear, accurate case records and documentation to ensure program accountability and service continuity.
• Participate in staff development sessions and explain assessment processes to a variety of school stakeholders.
• Administer, score, and interpret appropriate assessment instruments in alignment with district, state, and federal regulations.
• Engage with diverse school teams to address behavioral, learning, and teaching strategies within your area of expertise.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists required.
• Thorough knowledge of IDEA compliance, psychoeducational evaluation, and special education eligibility processes.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills for preparing and delivering clear evaluation reports.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; able to manage caseloads and adhere to deadlines.
• Demonstrated success collaborating with educational diagnosticians, social workers, SLPs, and administrators.
• Bilingual candidates are highly valued.
• Successful completion of district background check and fingerprinting is required.
