Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active Louisiana DOE certification in School Psychology (required)
- Experience conducting and interpreting psychoeducational assessments
- Comprehensive understanding of IDEA compliance and special education eligibility criteria
- Proven skills in writing clear, in-depth evaluation reports
- Strong communication abilities to interface with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills to ensure timely report completions and compliance
- Experience collaborating across disciplines (Bilingual abilities are a plus!)
- District background check and fingerprinting required
Responsibilities & Duties
- Serve on multidisciplinary teams, conducting educational assessments and submitting reports within required timelines
- Provide referrals and information to students and their families
- Collaborate with teachers, principals, and staff on intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records and participate in in-service trainings
- Explain assessment processes and results clearly to all stakeholders
- Support in developing and planning individualized educational programs
