Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credential
- Strong background in behavioral counseling and assessment
- Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Excellent consultation skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Expertise in trauma-informed care and crisis response
- Participation in IEP and Section 504 processes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group counseling to students with intensive needs
- Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations
- Complete FBAs and support the creation, implementation, and monitoring of BIPs
- Contribute to MTSS implementation and collaborate with classroom staff
- Attend IEP and Section 504 meetings to share expertise and recommendations
- Participate in crisis response teams and help develop safety plans
- Develop transition plans to support successful student reintegration into home schools
- Record and utilize data to inform student progress and adjust interventions as needed
