Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology required
- Valid Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in School Psychology required
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education eligibility, psychological testing, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Pay: $45+ per hour, based on experience
Position Details
- Full-time onsite position for the 2026–2027 school year
- Caseload assignments based on district needs and psychologist preference whenever possible
- May serve 2–3 school sites within an assigned borough, depending on caseload
- Collaborate closely with Educational Diagnosticians, School Social Workers, and related service providers
- Educational Diagnosticians administer achievement testing, while School Psychologists focus on cognitive testing and eligibility interpretation
- Participate in Child Study, re-evaluation, eligibility, manifestation determination, and termination meetings
- District is ready to interview ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cognitive evaluations, classroom observations, and behavioral rating scales
- Interpret evaluation data and determine special education eligibility
- Guide school teams through eligibility criteria and evaluation results
- Participate in Child Study, IEP, eligibility, manifestation determination, and re-evaluation meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and evaluation reports
